Eagles Stay Alive in Regional Tournament

Despite a slow start tonight, the Eagles of Desert Christian were able to advance in the regional tournament and stay alive another day by defeating the Eagles of Phoenix Country Day by a final score of 47-37.
(Some trivia: Desert is 2-3 thus far this season against teams with Eagles as their mascot, and will face the Scottsdale Christian Eagles tomorrow night!)
Senior Captains Aaron Aikman and Steven Lopez both pitched in with 12 a piece, while Daniel Boice had 9. Matt Ezell had a game highlight with a reverse lay-up as a part of his solid contribution tonight.

High Drama Ends in Eagle Heartbreak

Emotions were high and the crowd was a sell-out as the Eagles of Desert Christian High School clashed one more time against the Eagles of Thatcher.
The final game was also senior night. Before tip-off, all eight seniors accompanied by their parents were honored at mid court for their years of hard work and dedication to the program. Following a 12-minute warm-up, the game was underway.
From the opening tip-off it was apparent that this was going to be a hard fought battle as Kevin Sommitz and Thatcher's Jace Beals fought for first possession and forced a re-jump.
